Energy Manager on Loan—A resource for organizations needing help implementing a full energy management program

Though many organizations recognize the need for more energy-efficient practices, the process of actually implementing change or hiring a full-time energy manager can be intimidating. Advanced Energy’s Energy Manager on Loan program overcomes hurdles to implementation by providing organizations with an on-site energy-efficiency expert to simplify the process. The expert will:

• Assess areas of improvement— The energy manager gathers data, conducts on-site visits, reviews energy usage and cost data, performs energy assessments and provides recommendations for savings to the organization’s managers and staff.
• Provide a detailed proposal for a cost-effective energy plan— At the end of the initial assessment period, the energy manager provides a report summarizing energy conservation measures and outlining an energy management plan. The energy manager reviews the report with the organization to help prioritize actions.
• Assist in plan implementation— While many energy-efficiency consultants end their involvement after the evaluation, Advanced Energy’s program offers a second phase that assists with implementation of the energy plan by providing information on follow-through options, identifying funding opportunities, coordinating vendor visits and documenting the solutions and resulting savings.
