HVAC Design and Installation 3 days Description As building codes, utilities, and new construction programs require performance standards, these courses are designed to help installation crews get it right the first time. Quality Heat Pump Installation (2 days) This two-day workshop teaches Advanced Energy’s quality installation protocol. It focuses on the five issues that most commonly result in poor heat pump performance — charging the system, adjusting system air flow, proper installation of the refrigerant line, proper installation of the condensate drain and matching of equipment. Airtight Duct Construction (1 day) Across the country, leaky ducts have been documented as a major cause of comfort problems, high bills, durability issues and even health and safety problems. This practical one-day course focuses on duct system components, construction and appropriate sealing materials and techniques. Common duct leakage problems will be discussed. There will be practice in actual duct sealing to ensure effective, safe, and profitable repairs.
